Hi, I’m Robyn…

…and my goal in life is to be the person my cat thinks I am.
I’m only kind of kidding. To Izzy (pictured to the left), I’m the cat’s meow. I aspire to be as cool as she thinks I am.
By day, I’m a strategist, a planner, a writer, a creator of things, a continuous learner and more. By night, you can find me nose-deep in a book or working up a new crochet project with some mind-numbing TV.
I’m a creator and a communicator who enjoys connecting brands and organizations with their audiences by pairing authentic content, stories and messages with solid strategies and consistent branding. I build brands, share stories, craft content, research and write – a lot.
A Few Fun Facts About Me

- I’m a first-generation college graduate—and the first in my family to earn a master’s degree.
- I try to visit an independent bookstore in each city I travel to.
- I don’t drink coffee and have an entire cabinet full of tea in my kitchen instead.
- My hometown’s claim to fame is that Mike Trout is from the next town over.
- I taught myself HTML coding because I wanted my MySpace and LiveJournal pages to look cool…and somehow built a career around it.
- I think scoring baseball games is fun.
- My favorite musical artists are Mac Miller and Taylor Swift.
When I’m not writing or creating, I’m reading or consuming. I spend more time than I’d like to admit on Instagram and TikTok (for *~*inspiration*~*, I tell myself). No desk is complete without a copy of the AP Stylebook, a good notebook and at least three drinks (one for hydration, one for energy, one for fun). People who use “because that’s the way we’ve always done it” to get out of trying new things are the bane of my existence and Oxford commas make my eye twitch.
“Find something you’re passionate about and keep tremendously interested in it.”
– Julia Child
My deeply ingrained need to create bleeds into my spare time, too. In the evenings and on weekends, you’ll likely find me creating something either food- or fiber-based. I’ve always felt at home in a kitchen and often manifest my feelings in food. Love is a meal that takes all afternoon to prepare and stress is best sorted out with chocolate chip cookies. In 2017, in an effort to spend less time staring at a screen, I taught myself to crochet and have since picked up (or become reacquainted with) other crafty skills like knitting, embroidering and cross-stitching. I’ve even opened an Etsy shop named after my cat and created an Instagram page to share my love of crafting and keep making things without the risk of suffocating under a pile of blankets.
Instagram is the best way to get to know me, but my inbox is always open, too!
